Created through the Legends Care program, this scholarship supports undergraduates attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities, honoring the rich history of HBCUs and their alumni while moving that legacy forward. Applicants do not need to have played basketball.
$10,000 scholarship, plus job-board access, internship placement, complimentary NBA All-Star Weekend attendance with travel and lodging, senior-year career development sessions, and entry into the Legends Scholars Mentoring Program upon graduation.

Applicants submit their most recent tax return or FAFSA report, one recommendation letter from a faculty member, administrator, or coach, and an official or unofficial transcript.
The 2024–2025 application cycle closed May 15, 2024; the next cycle's dates are announced on the program page each year.
