The Membership Services Committee of Legends of Basketball is a standing body of Legends of Basketball. We are committed to advocacy, programming, and community — serving former professional players across every era and every league.
A nine-member committee of former professional basketball players — themselves legends — elected and appointed to serve the Legends of Basketball membership. We represent the NBA, WNBA, ABA, and Harlem Globetrotters.
Every former professional basketball player — from NBA champions to ABA trailblazers to Globetrotter entertainers — who has given their career to the sport deserves support, community, and connection in retirement.
We advocate for member benefits, coordinate programming across our five pillars (Camaraderie, Health, Financial Stability, Community, Family), and ensure legends maintain meaningful connections to the game and to each other.
Legends of Basketball is the official home of the National Basketball Retired Players Association — the organization that has supported former professional basketball players since 1992. With chapters across the country and a membership spanning generations of professional basketball, Legends of Basketball exists to serve the whole person beyond the game.
